DJ Ashtron is a DJ, producer and keyboardist with a formal background in classical music. He began taking piano lessons at age 7 and went on to complete a BMus, MMus and artist diploma in classical piano performance. Following the pandemic, he began producing electronic music and eventually developed a taste for underground techno music. He is influenced by a wide variety of genres including: funk, RnB, hip hop, heavy metal, rock, blues, jazz and classical music and is a strong advocate of live improvisation which he demonstrates in his keyboard-infused vinyl sets.
