Clare Twiddy
Clare Twiddy is a singer/songwriter, a producer, and a multi-instrumentalist who creates moody Alternative Pop with Dubstep and Electronica influences.
Clare co-produced her debut singles “New Devastation” and “Tethered Down” with Maple Ridge based musician/producer, Cam Blake. The songs are accompanied by dance-based music videos that were directed, performed, and edited by Twiddy with the help of her creative team Timothy Nguyen, Sheldon D’Eith , Kaylar Chan, and Neil Battle. The songs showcase dark, gritty soundscapes combined with dense vocal harmonies inspired by artists such as Banks, Bishop Briggs, and Miley Cyrus.
Alongside her solo project Clare is the lead singer of Vancouver based Funk-Rock band Raincity. Together they have performed over 300 times opening for acts such as Our Lady Peace, Bif Naked, and Five Alarm Funk, on stages such as The Commodore Ballroom and The Bill Reid Amphitheatre to crowds of up to 50,000 people. She has also collaborated with Vancouver sensation Rare Americans performing across the RA2 album and featured on their track “Knives, Guns, and Bed”.
Clare finds inspiration through the diversity of her artistic endeavours: music, dance, painting, and video editing. Her art is a platform to advocate for mental health and feminism, and to encourage happiness and freedom of expression.
