RITUAL is an ultra special event, and we promise to deliver the most diverse, high energy dancefloor filled action yet, featuring back to back vinyl sets by legendary Canadian DJs, BOWZER and DJ Nexus6ix.
RITUAL will take place in the smaller ballroom at Martime Express Cider Co. (same floor, end of the hall near the bathrooms) and will be more intimate, more up close and personal, more connected, with more attitude, and more reminiscent of the early underground era. We're bringing new feels, new vibes.

8pm - 9pm | Josef Mieto
To kick things off, Josef Mieto will be bringing you a selection of progressive house, techno, hard trance and dubstep selections. Josef began djing in the mid 1990's, eventually moving into electronic music production with multiple physical and digital releases on Factual Records and Surkeus Records.
9pm - 10pm | BOWZER
Hailing from Canada's capital, bowzer started DJing in 2000, mastering genres like UK Hardcore and Drum & Bass, before becoming an early pioneer of the Canadian Dubstep scene in 2005. Shortly after, his productions gained recognition on respected labels such as Badman Press and Black Acre, as well as various other vinyl/digital releases. From Toronto to Montreal, underground raves to nightclubs and even large festivals he opened for the likes of Skrillex, Luna-C, Goldie, and more. Taking a hiatus from the scene for several years, bowzer's back and his sound has branched out to also include styles like Speed/Bass House, Trap/Wave, Electro, Psytrance, Hard Dance, Mainstage ...basically anything is game!
From the Ottawa Valley to the Annapolis Valley, he now calls Kentville home and invites you to experience his Atlantic debut across a journey of basslines from 100-200bpm.
10pm - 12am | DJ NEXUS6IX
Dj Nexus6ix started spinning in 1992 after being inspired by two reggae djs who lived in his building. Soon after, he was spinning parties at SMU and Dal in Halifax, and playing on Dal radio CKDU . His first forays into underground parties were in 1997, forming a crew with AOM Productions and filling the gap for harder sounds in the Halifax rave scene playing alongside DJs SOS, Paladin and Hugh Sharp. Soon after this, Nexus6ix joined another crew (Slipdisc), and started playing deeper sounds and more housey doings. During this time he played along side The Stickmen, Terrence parker , Christopher Lawrence, Peter Grove aka Sunkissed and Hesohi from Dubtribe. Rolling into the 2000s, Nexus6ix had many club residencies in Halifax, Saint John and Ontario, and playing many underground events playing alongside such jocks as Heavy Grinder, Marco G ,Carl Lekebusch, DJ Preach, Hatiras, Freestylers , Roy Davis Jr and John Aquaviva. Nexus6ix's record collection includes techno, house, tech house, disco and 80s club jams. Nexus6ix is coming out of an 8 year hiatus to funk up the dancefloor and give the crowd a glimpse at how it was done on wax.
